But, anyway i want to tell about one of Indonesian best movie i've just seen this evening with my sis.
So, it begin when i went to Gandaria City (the best mall in South Jakarta...one of my favorite :) with my sis. We went to Cinema XXI and bought ticket at 14:15 pm to see the Batas Movie.

When i read the synopsis on the internet i found that it will be great and so it is. The movie goes for about 100 minutes. It filled with many beautiful scene in inside the Borneo traditional Village.
The movie tells the story about Janeswari a experienced field worker that works for a company located in Jakarta to fullfil the CSR division. She urged by her boss to figured out the problem on CSR Education program runned in Borneo because it show less progress.
Janeswari herselves has been lefted by her husband during her pregnant. At first, it feels hard for Janeswari to go to Borneo with her condition and sadness but for the commitment to the company, finally she go there.
Janeswari has lived for a month with the leader tribesman, called Panglima, and his family, her wife Nawara, Umbuh, their daughter, and Borneo, their grandson. The Panlima family himself faced some trouble. Theri daughter,Umbuh, suffered for some kind of Schizophernic that makes her always crying and screaming not for a reason. Their grandson has no mother and father yet and Nawara has separated with Panglima. I don't know if Borneo culture said that the foreman of the tribes has to live separatly from his wife.
Janeswari tries to figure out what makes the education program ruined by the company didn't works well. She meets the Adeus, one of the Borneo educated man. Becaus of his differences, Adeus seems odd to another village people. The village people have bear in mind that every Borneo son have to be able to do hunting or at least grind down the spear. Adeus is different. He is a teacher and he wants every people in his homland get the proper education. When Janeswari come to Borneo he saw that Adeus is no longer in amitions of making progression to his homeland. Janeswari tries every way she can to tracks the reason why the school didn't go well.
Firstly, Janeswari found that the local costum in Borneo isn't supporting the education program. She finally figured out that the learning system that has to adapt with the borneo local costum. So, she makes a openschool learning. This method was success buat it can solved the main reason of why the local borneo people are havint less motivation to school.
At last, the movie tells us that the existence of Indonesia-Malaysian border are overcome the main problem she wants to find. So, this is where the movie got its name: Batas.
Because of the border, many local people in Borneo Indonesian are migrated to Borneo Malaysia because the condition there are more prospereus than in Indonesian. The local people said that there was a heaven across the border. Although, the border was lied just with a stone. The border actually divide the local family tribes. The border are making the illegal migrant worker buareau worker in Borneo.
So, the movie was good. It really related to my subject at college. It gives information that the outside part of Indonesian still facing many problems.
The movie tells us too the strategy to be the successful field worker. First, is having commitment with your company, second live with the tribes foreman to get better patronage between unidentified treats. Third, having one of the tribesman boy to get educated in Jakarta so he can comeback to his homeland to build the village like Adeus do.
So far, the movie can be more interesting by using local people to play the script because it can deliver the more authentic atmosphere. I strongly recomends this movie to the people that interesting of become a field worker or a social worker.
